Not too long ago Wendy Larry was inducted into her high school Hall of Fame in New Jersey.Now the former Old Dominion coach, who won her 600th game last season, is part of the fourth class inducted into the Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame. Larry joins Lady Monarch field hockey coach Beth Anders, former Norfolk State athletic director Dick Price, now deceased, Pro Football Hall of Famer Dwight Stephenson, former Admirals owner Blake Cullen and ex-NFL great Roger Brown.
The Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame is housed in the lobby of Harbor Park in Norfolk. The honorees will be recognized at a banquet at Scope on Oct. 18.
We applaud Wendy for an honor that is long overdue.
