Would you like to see Old Dominion play Baylor in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Constant Center? ESPN prognasticator Charlie Creme projects just that in his latest bracketology. Creme predicts the Lady Monarchs will win the CAA and receive a No. 13 seed. He has them pitted against an unpredictable Baylor team, seeded fourth, which started the season in the Top 5.
Know what else? Creme figures the CAA for an at-large bid and gives it to James Madison due to the Dukes' impressive nonconference results. He pits No. 10 James Madison against No. 7 Georgia Tech.
As for Drexel, the defending CAA champions are in his last four out.
We have one question: Where for art thou VCU?
Virginia is also in the mix as a No. 6, projected to meet Mississippi, an 11 seed. One caveat: The Cavaliers need to find a way to avoid icky losses such as the one to Wake Forest over the weekend.
We're halfway through, so who knows what will happen? But isn't it fun to dream about seeing 6-foot-8 Brittney Griner up close in Norfolk? Has Griner ever been to Hampton Roads? Tell us if you know the answer. We'll answer the question ourselves on Tuesday.
