Here's our answer to the question we posed on an earlier post, was Brittney Griner ever in Hampton Roads?
In April 2008 Griner, who had already committed to Baylor, played in the championship game of the Battle of the Best at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton. The 6-foot-7 1/2 Griner (she's now 6-8) had a triple-double -13 points, 13 rebounds and 12 blocks - for champion T. Jackson Elite and was named the tournament MVP.
Will we see her again in March? ESPN's Charlie Creme thinks so.
