Ex-ODU guard Vicki Collier working for mom at Virginia Union

Vicki Collier
Apparently at Virginia Union, one good Collier deserves another.

A few months after hiring Barvenia Wooten-Collier as its head coach, the Lady Panthers announced that her daughter, Vicki, will serve as an assistant. Vicki Collier, who completed an injury-plagued career at Old Dominion last year, is also a volleyball assistant.

Now we've can remember a few father-son coaching staffs over the years (Bobby and Pat Knight at Texas Tech, Eddie and Sean Sutton at Oklahoma State, the Capels at Old Dominion). But can someone help us with another mother-daughter coaching act at the collegiate level?

The Wooten-Collier/Collier Era started off with a pair of losses over the weekend, and the Lady Panthers will likely fall to 0-3 after Tuesday's visit to a Liberty team (0-2) famished for some success after a forgettable trip to Raleigh.
