Thriller at UVa.

Beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it, beat it

MJ? Nope, it's DR as in Debbie Ryan. Every year Ryan and WINA 1070 deejay Jay James come up with a wacky way to raise money for Toy Lift, the signature event for the Charlottesville charity Kids Lift Foundation. Toy Lift is an entirely volunteer-run event that provides Christmas gifts (this year it's bikes) for local children who could go without. This year Ryan has promised to team up with James for a song-and-dance tribute to the King of Pop live from the station's bucket truck above Route 29. (Word is Debbie will have an afro.) But to make it happen, they need $5,000 in donations by 9 a.m. Friday.

Wanna help? Call (434) 220-2300 or go to the Kids Lift website.

Billie Jean, I mean Ryan, goes all out for this charity annually. In 2006 she donned Speedo swimwear and sat in the bucket truck in 21-degree weather.

You rock, Debbie!!
