Daily dribble

Wish all the players luck on their exams. And enjoy tonight's relatively heavy schedule, because there will be only two more games involving state teams from Wednesday through Friday.

Today's action

Temple (6-1) at Hampton (2-4), 7 p.m.
The good news: the Lady Pirates are finally back in their own building after four straight road losses. The bad news: the best team they've played all season will be waiting for them. These Owls are even receiving votes in the AP poll. Then again, what do poll voters know? Temple 75, Hampton 55

Furman (2-7) at Virginia (6-2), 7 p.m.
Two days after falling to JMU, the Cavaliers jump right back on the horse for this pre-exams tuneup against overmatched Paladins. The Cavaliers can win this one a number of ways, but we suspect they'd like to do it by establishing what has been a dormant low-post game. Virginia 89, Furman 62

Radford (1-5) at North Carolina (6-1), 7 p.m.
Here's why the Highlanders didn't party too heartily Saturday night after finally breaking into the win column. At least the venue will be special - how often do you get to play in a facility like the 22,000-seat Dean Smith Center? As for the Tar Heels, they appear to be bidding for honorary membership in the Big South. Radford will be their fourth opponent from that conference, and on Sunday they'll play a fifth when they host Gardner-Webb. North Carolina 91, Radford 50
