It's official. Longwood has fired coach Kristin Caruso. Bill Reinson, an assistant with the men's team for the last nine years, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
UConn grad Caruso was in her fourth season. A year ago she was also suspended for six days relating to an undisclosed personnel matter.
Previously Caruso was head coach at Marist College and an assistant to Jen Rizzotti at the University of Hartford.
