Games are few and far between these days, but here's what's on tap for Wednesday night.
Norfolk State (4-2) at William and Mary (0-6), 7 p.m.
We think the Tribe will find out what winning feels like tonight even though we're well aware that this isn't the same Spartan team that fell to W&M 80-52 a year ago. This NSU bunch is off to its best start in Division I behind a talent crop of underclassmen, including Rae Corbo (10 ppg) and Maury High's own Batavia Owens (10.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg). But the Tribe is due and played like it in falling to Seton Hall in overtime last week. They have found a post scorer in freshman Kaitlyn Mathieu, who recorded her first double-double in that game, to complement dynamic guard Taysha Pye. NSU has outrebounded 5 of 6 opponents, but we expect the Tribe to win the battle of the boards and come out on top on the scoreboard in only the second home game played at Kaplan Arena this season. W&M 79, NSU 60
