Great news for Delaware fans - and another year of headaches for the rest of the CAA - Delaware superstar Elena Delle Donne says she will indeed remain a Blue Hen for the 2012-13 season. In fact, Delle Donne doesn't just say it, she guarantees it.
ESPN's Mechelle Voepel, who will have a story on Delle Donne on the ESPN.com website soon, broke the news during her weekly online chat:
I spoke with Elena Delle Donne yesterday, and she guarantees she will NOT be leaving early. Her exact words: "I know its a lot of fun for people to chat about, but I can tell you this Blue Hen will be here next year. I will be back. I love it way too much to leave early."

Delle Donne could have made herself available for this year's WNBA draft.

ReplyDeleteShe has the rest of her life to be an adult, just one more year to be a college athlete. if she's enjoying herself, why leave? Also, no great financial incentive to go WNBA like there is in the NBA.
