Ladyswish state rankings (as of March 10)

1. Virginia (21-9)
RPI: 18
Next game: Season complete
Postseason prospects: Sure-fire NCAA Tournament team, likely to be seeded in the 5-7 range

2. James Madison (23-6)
RPI: 41
Next game: Friday, 5 p.m. vs. Towson-UNC Wilmington winner in CAA Tournament quarterfinals
Postseason prospects: Strong NCAA at-large candidate if the Dukes don't win their way in this weekend.

3. Old Dominion (16-12)
RPI: 57
Next game: Friday at noon vs. Georgia State-Northeastern winner in the CAA Tournament quarterfinals
Postseason prospects: Extremely slim NCAA at-large hopes should things not work out this weekend in Harrisonburg but they're a WNIT lock - assuming the Lady Monarchs would accept a bid.

4. Richmond (19-12)
RPI: 82
Next game: Season complete
Postseason prospects: WNIT, here they come

5: VCU (19-11)
RPI: 111
Next game: Friday, 7:30 p.m. vs. Hofstra-William and Mary winner in the CAA Tournament quarterfinals
Postseason prospects: Failing a CAA title, the Rams are a reasonably attractive WNIT candidate despite a fairly high RPI number.

6. Liberty (24-5)
RPI: 84
Next game: Friday, 5:30 p.m. vs. Radford in Big South Tournament quarterfinals
Postseason prospects: The NCAAs if they win the Big South, the WNIT if they don't

7. Hampton (18-11)
RPI: 142
Next game: Friday, 2:30 p.m. vs. Bethune-Cookman-Morgan State winner in MEAC Tournament semifinals
Postseason prospects: A legitimate threat to win the MEAC's automatic NCAA Tournament bid and an automatic qualifier to the WNIT if top-seeded North Carolina A&T takes the MEAC crown.

8. Virginia Tech (15-15)
RPI: 114
Next game: Season complete
Postseason prospects: None. The Hokies have withdrawn their name from WNIT consideration.

Postseason prospects: Miracle CAA title run or bust
